Project-Tee Design Submission Legal Terms and Conditions
Last revised October 1, 2007
Project-Tee, LLC (hereinafter referred to as “Project-Tee”) retains exclusive rights to the submitted design, if chosen, for printing, reproducing, or selling on clothing or accessories. Project-Tee also retains the rights to the design itself on the Project-Tee.com website, and any Project-Tee promotional material.
The participant will keep ownership of the submitted design. If your design is selected, you may not use the design (or derivatives of the design) or allow others to use the design (or derivatives of the design) on any items, as described above. The participant may display or archive the design in a portfolio or personal collection, but may not sell or reproduce the design for commercial purposes for ninety (90) days after the design has completed scoring. In addition, during this period, the participant cannot submit the design to another company to be potentially produced. Once this time frame has passed, if the design was not chosen for print by Project-Tee, the participant is free to use the design for commercial purposes, however the participant must contact Project-Tee by email to notify where and when it will be produced so that it can be removed from the Project-Tee website. Also, if the design is printed elsewhere, the participant cannot use the Project-Tee website to promote the product or another company.
The design must be the participant’s own original work and may not have been previously published. The design may not contain trademarks, logos, copyrighted works or intellectual property of any third parties, or any material, which Project-Tee in its sole discretion deems to be profane or offensive.
The selected design may be reworked by professional designers to prepare it for use. This usually results in slight color changes or size changes.
Participants who, in the opinion of Project-Tee, do not comply with these guidelines can at any time be excluded from the running without notification of reason.
The decisions of Project-Tee are legal and binding.
The participants who submit the best designs, as selected by Project-Tee after vote and ranking review, will win a free t-shirt with the submitted design printed plus ten (0.10¢) cents for each design sold. Payments will be made at the end of each month.
Additionally, if the design meets the criteria of the copyright laws of the United States, Project-Tee may register the design with the U.S. Copyright office. This registration will list the designer as the primary copyright owner with Project-Tee being listed as an additional copyright claimant. A copy of the registration certificate will be forwarded to the participant upon receiving it.
